  Meet Our Committee

Dave GrayDave Grey

Dave is the team captain for the Walkie Talkies and has been on the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Committee since it began.

Dave is the Grounds Coordinator and looks after all related matters that come up over the weekend from 6am Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon.

While on the Committee Dave believes it has been a great pleasure to have worked alongside committed people and feels it is very rewarding to know that all of the funds raised are being directed towards the treatment of patients in the Macarthur Area.

Dave misses the company of his very close friend and original Committee member, Gabe O’Flaherty, who passed away suddenly last year.

Brendan KinselaBrendan Kinsella

This is Brendan’s second year on the committee and his third year in the event. He and his wife live and work in the Macarthur area and have two daughters who attend a local school in Camden. He started out as team captain for Clinton’s Toyota and really enjoyed the event and wanted to be further involved.

He enjoys being involved with such a committed group of volunteers and supporting such a great charitable cause knowing that all profits stay in the Macarthur region.

Brendan is Program Coordinator for the 24 hour event.

Dot Lechner OAMDot Lechner

Dot has lived in the Campbelltown area since 1976 and has been a member of the 24 Fight Against Cancer Macarthur committee since the first meeting in 2005.

She has held the position of Volunteer Co-ordinator at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals since 1977 and has been involved with several charity events and fundraisers in the Campbelltown area for many years.

Her aunt died of cancer 6 years ago and through her position at the hospital she has seen the suffering of many cancer patients.  She wants to contribute towards finding a possible future cure for cancer.

Dot enjoys helping to facilitate this major public event as it generates happiness for so many people.

Dot looks after the catering provided by the Canteen and plays a large part in organising the Reflection Ceremony.
