Congratulations if you have decided to register as a participant in the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur. You'll have great fun while helping to improve cancer treatment for local patients.

By supporting your very own Macarthur-based event, you are assured that 100% of every dollar you raise will stay right here to provide our family and friends dealing with cancer with the treatment 'extras' not available from other sources. Your efforts and the extremely generous support of local sponsors who cover the costs of staging the weekend have meant that in just 6 years this project has raised an incredible $1.1 million !

How your participation helps

Already $132,000 of last year's fundraising has been spent. Purchases include a state-of-the-art ultrasound that will reduce waiting time for tests and also aid in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate and other cancers, purchase of texts and reference materials for staff, the production of a DVD to explain palliative care to families, craft and fun items for young patients or those visiting very sick relatives, and the printing of a beautiful memento book for very ill children so that they can records their thoughts and memories with their families.
